Yesterday, I received a mailing from Kanuga Conference Center. This is our denomination’s national camp facility that is located in Western North Carolina near Hendersonville. I have visited there a number of times through the years for conferences and retreats. I like Kanuga so I always look over their mailings with interest.
This current mailing announced a Christian Formation Conference. Sounds interesting, I thought. Then I noticed the keynote speaker: Rabbi Sandy Eisenberg Sasso of Congregation Beth-El Zedeck in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Let’s see; a Christian Formation Conference, a mailing that arrives Wednesday of Holy Week and a Jewish Rabbi keynote speaker!
Am I the only one who finds this to be a little strange?
